On arrival in Guwahati, the capital city of Assam, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After freshening up, start your sightseeing with a visit to Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya. Later, take a Brahmaputra River Cruise, which provides a beautiful view of the city’s skyline, and enjoy a relaxing evening by the river. Explore the local markets in the evening for Assamese tea, silk sarees, and other unique handicrafts.
After breakfast, proceed to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, located about 2-3 hours from Guwahati. Known for its population of one-horned rhinos, Pobitora is a small yet spectacular wildlife sanctuary. Enjoy a thrilling Jeep Safari to spot rhinos, wild boars, and a variety of bird species. The sanctuary is often referred to as "Mini Kaziranga" for its richness in biodiversity. In the evening, visit the nearby Madhavdev Temple, a peaceful place for relaxation and reflection, before heading back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Guwahati.
Today, after breakfast, depart for Tezpur, a charming city located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River. The journey takes around 4 hours, offering scenic views along the way. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel, and then begin your exploration with a visit to Bamuni Hills, famous for its ancient ruins and archaeological significance. You will also visit Agnigarh Hill, known for its beautiful landscapes and the legend associated with it. Enjoy a serene evening by the river, as you witness the breathtaking sunset.
After breakfast, drive towards Kaziranga National Park, one of the top wildlife destinations in India, known for its population of one-horned rhinos. Upon reaching Kaziranga, check-in to your resort. In the evening, relax and enjoy the natural surroundings of the park. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to a variety of flora and fauna, making it a must-visit for wildlife enthusiasts. You can enjoy an evening walk through the nearby tea gardens and enjoy a cultural performance organized by the resort.
Early morning, embark on an Elephant Safari to explore the park’s biodiversity. Afterward, return to the resort for breakfast and head for a Jeep Safari to spot other wildlife, including tigers, elephants, deer, and an array of birds. In the afternoon, travel back to Guwahati (about 4-5 hours) for your departure. Depending on your flight time, you may have the opportunity to visit the Assam State Museum or do some last-minute shopping at the local markets. You will be dropped at the airport for your onward journey.
