Arrive at Guwahati and meet our representative at the airport. Afterward, drive to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya (approximately 3 hours). En route, stop at Umiam Lake, a serene and beautiful water body surrounded by hills. Once you reach Shillong, check-in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, visit Police Bazar, the local market for a lively shopping experience and some delicious local cuisine.
After breakfast, head to Cherrapunji (about 2 hours from Shillong), one of the wettest places on Earth. Visit the famous Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest waterfall in India. Explore Mawsmai Cave, a limestone cave with incredible rock formations. Then, visit Dainthlen Falls, a picturesque waterfall known for its historical significance. In the evening, return to Shillong for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive towards Mawlynnong, known as Asia’s cleanest village. Take a walk through this pristine village, visit the Living Root Bridge, and enjoy the vibrant culture. Later, head to Dawki, where you can enjoy a boat ride on the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River. You can also visit Shnongpdeng, known for its natural beauty. After a day of exploration, return to Shillong for the night.
After breakfast, take a short drive to Mawphlang, a sacred forest where you can enjoy nature walks and explore the sacred groves, home to unique flora and fauna. Then, visit Elephant Falls, one of Shillong’s most famous tourist spots. The three-tiered waterfall offers a beautiful view, perfect for photography. Return to Shillong in the evening for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart for Kaziranga National Park in Assam (around 5-6 hours by road). On arrival, check in to your lodge and relax amidst the scenic surroundings. Kaziranga is famous for its one-horned rhino population and diverse wildlife. In the evening, take a short tour around the park or enjoy a cultural performance at the resort.
Early morning, embark on an elephant safari in Kaziranga, followed by a jeep safari to explore the park’s rich biodiversity, including rhinos, tigers, wild elephants, and many bird species. After the safari, return to your resort for breakfast, and then drive back to Guwahati for your departure.
